This year’s Wango Tango festival is going to be everything. Just judging by previous years alone—in 2013, Kylie and Kendall Jenner showed up, and in the same year, Britney Spears co-hosted the concert—you know the festival will be loaded with surprise after surprise, a star-studded event you don’t want to miss.
More than that, Wango Tango brings together a diverse range of music. The concert is always a pop extravaganza, but KIISFM curated an even more diverse group of artists this year, ranging from pop and soul to country, blues, rap, and R&B. All that being said, it’s best to come in with a game plan so you can make sure to maximize your Wango Tango experience.
Do Check Out the Wango Tango Photos and Videos
Wango Tango always seems to capture the best exclusive video and photo content of their musical guests. One of our favorite videos from last year included Tiesto speaking about being a mentor to young DJs.
Do Take Note That Ryan Seacrest Is Hosting
This is Ryan Seacrest’s fourth year hosting Wango Tango, and needless to say, he’s definitely got the hosting thing down to an art. Seacrest is always the most charming, friendly on-camera personality—it’s fun to see him interact with the artists, celebrities, and audience members. The KIISFM crew will also be hosting, which includes our favorites Ellen K, Manny Streetz, and JoJo Wright.
Do Be Prepared for Celebrity Guest Appearances
Wango Tango has yet to announce any special celebrity appearances for this year, but last year, tons of recognizable faces swung through the festival, including Audrina Patridge, Bella Thorne, Andy Dick, Mark Ballas, and Candace Cameron Bure. Whoever it is, we are excited to see who will stop by this year.
Do Go Crazy Eating all the Delicious Food
Free Slurpee® alert! We’ll have a truck on site at the Wango Tango Village to give you a free Slurpee when you flash your 7-Eleven® app. Pair it with the hamburgers, fries, nachos, hot dogs, pizza, Starbucks, wings, and popcorn available at the stadium as well. If you’re looking for a meal once your day of dancing has come to a close, make a pit stop at R&R Soul Food Restaurant down the street on Avalon Boulevard. Well worth the trek.
See Kanye West
The one and only Kanye West is headlining Wango Tango 2015. His first time playing the festival was almost 10 years ago in 2006 and he’s come a long way since then: four albums, a wife, and a baby to be exact. We know the real question on everybody’s mind is: Are we going to see Kim Kardashian and North West on May 9, too?
See Calvin Harris
After Calvin Harris’ stellar performance at Wango Tango 2014, it seems obvious that he would be added to this year’s lineup as well. He is, without question, one of our favorite DJs. Get ready to shake everything you’ve got to Harris’ electrifying dance music.
See Nick Jonas
While Nick Jonas initially found fame by forming a musical group with his brothers, he has now successfully struck out on his own and we absolutely love him for it. His blend of R&B and pop is killer and we can’t wait to see him live on the Wango Tango main stage.
Even though Sia famously shies away from the camera, we can’t help but love her music and her dancing mini-me Maddie Ziegler. Sia’s beautiful voice and Ziegler’s edgy, eccentric performances are a match made in heaven.
See Justin Bieber
On April 2, Wango Tango surprised everyone by adding Justin Bieber to the lineup. Bieber has quickly become one of pop music’s most well-known musicians. Despite his recent antics, the Toronto singer remains a heartthrob, and if you caught his Comedy Central Roast, you’ll know he’s ready to earn back a respected place in the music world. Plus, rumors are floating around that Taylor Swift will be performing with Justin. Get ready, Los Angeles.
See As Many Acts as Possible
Besides the ultra-famous artists mentioned above, there will be a ton of other pop acts to catch, including Ne-Yo, Jason Derulo, David Guetta, and LunchMoney Lewis. The festival lineup is packed this year—there’s no way you’ll have a dull moment.
